After earning a magnificent win over Australia in their opening game, Wales were outclassed by the Baby Blacks, who eased to victory courtesy of five tries, overcoming a brave Welsh effort in the process.

Italy made a strong start to the defence of their world under-20 rugby championship with a 67-0 humiliation of Japan in France. New Zealand scored 11 tries in Narbonne on Thursday (NZT) as their power and pace were too much for a Japanese team who were returning to the top tier of the championship after winning the second division last year.
